Dr. Greg Grossman

Dr. Gregory H Grossman, PhD

Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Grossman completed his fellowship in ophthalmology at the Cole Eye Institute of the Cleveland Clinic and specializes in Biobanking and Eye Research. He holds certifications in eye banking (CEBT), conducting clinical trials (CCRP), medical affairs (BCMAS), and green laboratory operations (My Green Lab). Dr. Grossman is the Immediate Past President of ISBER, the global society of biobanking and a long-time member of ARVO.

Dr. Deborah Mai

Dr. Deborah Mai, PhD

Vice President of Cell and Services. Dr. Mai received her PhD in Microbiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She heads the new Cellular Research and Therapeutics Division at Precision Ocular Network.  She has 15+ years of biotech experience and has CRO leadership in cell-based platform services. She works with extensively with clients to connect them with our research resources.

The Precision Ocular Biobank is a division of Precision Ocular Network and is one of the world’s only Certified Ocular Biobanks. All samples are acquired from fully authorized donors using our IRB-approved program and all data have been de-identified. Authorization allows for-profit use and genetic studies. Meeting regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance with ethical and legal global guidelines means that you are Protecting your investment, now and in the future.

Precision Ocular Network and the Precision Ocular Biobank

Precision Ocular Network (PON) https://precisionocular.org/ and the Precision Ocular Biobank are certified 501c3 nonprofit organization (Unique Entity ID NJJTPGMNC6S5) and an accredited member of the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA). PON has multiple facilities that are registered under FDA: Precision Ocular Network -AL (FEI) #3001236642; Precision Ocular Network –MS (FEI) #3000215041; Precision Ocular Network – NC (FEI) #3001237888; Precision Ocular Network – TN (FEI) # 1000524671; Precision Ocular Network – TX (FEI) #3001238012; Precision Ocular Network- LA (FEI) #3000215034.

The Precision Ocular Biobank (POB) is a wholly owned division of PON specializing in biobanking and distributing ocular tissue, biospecimens, data, cells and histology slide sets for research. The POB is registered with the International Society of Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER), Biobanking and BioMolecular Resource Research Infrastructure (BBMRI-ERIC) and is certified through the Canadian Tissue Repository Network (CTRNet). The POB program (Protocol #20- POB-101) has been reviewed and approved (9/04/2020) by an independent Institutional Review Board, Pearl IRB (organization number: 0006471, registration number: 00007772).

The POB is a registered, pharma-approved supplier on Scientist.com. Authorization covers for-profit use as well as genetic studies.
